Dear Graduates of the Class of 2009,
It came as no surprise to me when Mr. C. told me that he thought your eighth grade
play should be a comedy. Every class leaves its imprint on the Buckley lore. You w ill
most be undoubtedly be remembered for your collective good nature and the genuine
sense of humor that charcterizes each and every one of you.
Your passions, be they scholarly, artistic , or athletic, have shone through in the
beautifully crafted and thoughtful speeches that we have come to look forward to every
Friday. Most importantly, they have shone through in your actions.
I am grateful for the spirit you have brought to Buckley over the years and for doing
your share to keep our community strong. Let me offer my sincere congratulations to
you on the occasion of your graduation and extend my invitation to come visit any
time you wish. May you take me up on the invitation soon and often.
